About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! I am a PhD student working on neuroimmunology and drug discovery for neurological disorders. My research is focussed on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in neuroinflammation and the role of microglia (the resident immune cells of the brain) in mediating inflammation in the brain. You can read more about my research here.

I started this blog when I was a Master’s student working on understanding the structural and functional characteristics of G-protein gated potassium ion channels and wanted to share my research interests. Currently, this blog is my little corner on the web where I talk about my grad school experience along with other things that I find interesting. Besides being a curious lab rat, I am also passionate about photography, traveling, and reading. Feel free to talk to me here or on twitter. Cheers!
